INCLUSIVE LEADERSHIP IN REALIZING QUALITY MULTICULTURAL ISLAMIC EDUCATION

Abstract

Multicultural Islamic education requires leadership approaches responsive to cultural, religious, and social diversity. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of inclusive leadership in realizing quality multicultural Islamic education through a library research approach. A qualitative method was employed by examining academic documents such as books, journals, reports, and articles related to inclusive leadership and multicultural Islamic education. The findings reveal that inclusive leadership is effective in creating an educational environment that respects differences, encourages active participation of all stakeholders, and integrates Islamic values with principles of equality and tolerance. Key success factors include participatory policies, strengthening intercultural dialogue, and leaders’ commitment to accommodating marginalized groups’ needs. However, challenges such as a lack of conceptual understanding of multiculturalism and resource limitations remain obstacles. This study recommends strengthening inclusive leadership capacity through training based on Islamic and multicultural values, as well as developing a curriculum model responsive to diversity.
